How far in advance should/can I book?

For Berlin I book up to 3 months ahead and availability varies, so always check via contact form request indicating the time period you wish to book and include a variety of dates in which you are available. For guest spots you can start booking as soon as dates are announced. I usually plan a period of 6 months in advance. Guest Spots dates are available here. Due to limited availability Guest Spots can get booked faster.

Do you send designs ahead of the appointment?

Everything is designed with the customer on the spot so it is not possible to send a design beforehand.

What about pain management, is it okay to use numbing cream?

I do not oppose the application of numbing cream, especially for trickier spots or for instance in the case of nerve damage (scars, etc). I recommend the brand TKTX and additionally a patch test prior to the session. The application and usage of numbing cream is your sole responsibility.

For bigger pieces other options are available, such as spreading the work over more than one session, usually shorter in length.

Do you do cover ups, blastovers and work over scars?

I have extensive experience with cover ups and blastovers. Regarding tattooing over scars, I also have experience with these, but a consultation is necessary for each case, so feel free to fill out my form, including pictures of the area to be tattooed.

Do you use second-skin? What should I do for after care?

My ideal after care uses absorbent pads and these are proven to deliver the best healing in my experience and that of customers, especially when it comes to large scale pieces. In some circumstances, such as with tricky spots like the neck or fingers, I will suggest the use of second skin. We will take into account any allergies to materials and personally devise an after care plan that suits your particular case. One touch up session is included if needed but must be requested within 6 months of completion of your project.

Do I need a deposit to book?

Yes, all bookings require a deposit in order to be confirmed. Deposits are non refundable and are part of the total price of the project. In the case of multiple session projects, deposits are deducted from the final session.

Can I reschedule my appointment?

For Berlin, you may reschedule your appointment up to 1x and you must give me at least 2 weeks notice. If you cancel with less than 2 weeks notice, another deposit is required to reschedule your session. You cannot reschedule sessions on guest cities.

Do you only use black ink? What about colours?

At the moment I only work with black ink.
